1987 Buick Regal T-Type – Same drive train as the Grand National, butdifferent trim package. The 2nd owner of this car bought it from original ownerin 1993 – it had 66,000 miles on it then. I bought it from the 2nd owner in1996. I think it had just under 100,000 miles on it at the time. I replaced thegauge cluster at some point and didn’t keep track of the mileage. I’veprobably put on less than 15,000 miles. The current odometer reads 61,000 miles,but it is really around 115,000. The car has spent most of its life in storageas part of a car collection. The car had some winter driving before I got it. The bottoms of the doors were rusty so I put a pair of southern doors on it andhad the car painted the original color - dark red metallic. I think it was donewas in 1997 or 1998. The rockers and lower rear quarters were recently repaintedto repair a couple of paint blisters. Everything else nice and solid. There isone paint blister on the right rear wheel well and a couple blemishes in thehood. There are also a couple small tears in the upholstery. Years ago, thetransmission started slipping, so I had it rebuilt by General Motors – theyput heavy duty clutches in it. I also had the motor freshened up. One ownerfamily car, father bought new, sold to son (70 year old) twenty plus years ago. Garage kept since new, no body rust, never driven in the snow. Only 21,540original miles, still has the original Bias tires on the car. Paint is very nicecondition, still very shiny, tan vinyl top in great condition as well and theinterior (Sandalwood color) which presents in excellent condition with no wear. THE GOOD: Rebuilt motor 2 years ago, less than1000 miles since rebuild, new Air ride set up with DUAL VIAR Motors and 8lb tankand a reserve 5lb tank as well, touch screen radio/CD Player with six 6 1/2"speakers in rear deck, two Memphis 12's molded in the trunk "custom" setup. Wheels are 14 inch "OG" wire wheels 100 spoke knock off style with powdercoated spokes. Exterior body paint color is candy tangerine with flakes,interior is peanut butter leather with orange suede and genuine python snakeskin. Engine and transmission run as it should, former show car, but nowit's a good street cruiser, paint still looks and shines well. Chrome frontclip with split bumper, power windows and seats, exhaust is straight piped,sounds loud and strong. THE BAD: Lower front passenger fender is starting toshow signs of rusting, paint is starting to bubble on lower bottom half offender, the hood corner has slight crease on the lower right side of the hood. Back drivers quarter window falls off track when lowered but works up and down. Tires have great tread but are old. Wiper motor needs replaced. This is anhonest description and to the best of my abilities am unaware of any otherissues. Overall car is in great shape and considering being 45 years old shestill turns heads. This car is a # 3 Car in Old Price Report Price Guide, March/April /17 whichmeans it look good and runs well, but it show wear and tear. This is Straight 8Cylinders, manual transmission, 3 speed on the column, 6 volts electricalsystem. Just rebuild the radiator and installed a new water pump. I have ownedthe car for the last 27 years. Speedometer reads 87091 but it has not worked forthe last 800 miles approximately. The Exhaust manifold has a small leak, so theengine sounds a little loud . it is a real head turner whenever I take it out.

This 1966 Buick Special is quite literally Grandmas car. The current ownerinherited the car from his grandmother in 1988 and it has been in continuousindoor storage throughout its two owner history. All components and paint areoriginal OEM and are very well preserved. Unfortunately the transmission failedwhen it was removed from storage this spring and will require repair. The owneris in downsizing mode and has decided to sell this Buick rather than invest inrepairs at this time. The engine runs well but burns oil such that we suspect ithas a broken or stuck ring in one or more cylinders. Brakes, steering andelectrical all function properly.
