*This vehicle is being relisted due to a deadbeat, non-paying south I am offering for sale my extremely nice 1979 Alfa Romeo SpyderVeloce that has undergone a metal bumper conversion. This Alfa was purchased byme in November of 2014. I could not pass it up due to it's The car was bought new in southern California (Santa Monica) where itspent many years before migrating to North Carolina and then here to Florida. During my two and a half years of ownership, I have done the rebuilt thermostatic actuator $300 (from Ingram Enterprises),new battery $125, new Michelin tires $350, front end alignment $60, replaceddoor weatherstrips $150, new front brakes $800 (calipers, rotors, pads), andmost recently new Ansa muffler ($150). The only appearance change that I made tothe Alfa was in doing the bumper conversion from the ugly black rubber factoryunits to the earlier version metal bumpers. I was very fortunate in havinglocated a set of early take-offs that most likely came from a 1971-1972 whichwere in almost new condition. My total cost for this conversion was $2,350 andwell worth the price, in my opinion. The Alfa has had apparently only onerepaint which was done in the original factory color and done very well. Allsheetmetal appears to be factory original and shows no signs of rust or repair. The driver's door glass still has a factory sticker on it. The dash pad hasa crack just to the right of center and thus the reason for the carpetedoverlay.

I bought the car off the second owner who had brought it from the daughter ofthe orig. Her dad had passed away and the car had been sitting covered upsince 2007. The second owner had purchased the car to turn for a profit, so hedid not own it for very long. He put in a new battery, had the gas tank cleanedout, replaced the fuel pump and sending unit and put new tires on it and changedthe fluids. He had it smogged in California. This car is an original Ca. car it's whole life. There are no fluid leaks of any kind. Thepower windows and power antenna work as they should. There is almost no wear tothe carpet. The seats are in great shape with only one small wear mark ondrivers side. NO holes in interior. The Air Condition blows ice cold here in theAZ. The car is an automatic transmission car which is very rare since theydid not make many of them this way. It runs really well and I was surprised athow much power it has. Air Conditioning

This is a no reserve auction. The high bidder at the end of the auction wins thecar. The Quadrifoglio featured different interior trim including red carpets and grayleather seats with red stitching. There were a total of 2,598 Quadrifoglios madefrom 1986 to 1989. This Alfa looks and runs great. I have a stack of receiptsfor work done to the car to document the mileage and work over the years. Thiscar is definitely a driver. It starts up on the first try every time, shiftsthrough gears easily with no grinding and the clutch was replaced just a littleover 1,000 miles ago. It has plenty of power and had the head rebuilt 5,000miles ago. Brakes are good with new front pads and rotors that have 1,000 mileson them. It does not leak any oil. The body looks good with a scuff hear andthere. The hard top is in good condition.
